Complete Move-In Guide

Your step-by-step guide to a smooth move-in experience in Dubai. From property inspection to setting up utilities, we've got you covered.

Before Moving In

  • Schedule property inspection with landlord/agent

  • Document property condition with photos and videos

  • Check all appliances and fixtures are working

  • Verify all keys, access cards, and remotes are provided

  • Review and sign tenancy contract

  • Ensure Ejari registration is completed

  • Obtain copies of all documents (contract, Ejari, building rules)

Utility Connections

  • Transfer DEWA (electricity & water) to your name

  • Set up internet connection (Etisalat/Du)

  • Activate TV services if needed

  • Verify AC system is working and understand charges

  • Check gas connection (if applicable)

  • Update address on Emirates ID

  • Update address with banks and government services

Moving Day

  • Hire reputable moving company (get quotes from 3+ companies)

  • Coordinate move-in time with building management

  • Reserve elevator/parking if required

  • Supervise movers to prevent property damage

  • Unpack systematically room by room

  • Test all appliances and systems after move
